Veteran investor Shankar Sharma has advised investors that timing the stock market's macro cycle is essential. "No matter how great a stock picker you are...majority of your returns will be driven by the macro cycle," he stated. "Between 2014-2020, nobody made much money...For all investors...around 90% of their current portfolio's worth came in only the last 4-5 years," he added.
