Trinamool Congress (TMC) panchayat member Pintu Chakraborty was killed by unidentified assailants in West Bengal's Hooghly, police said on Thursday. The incident took place on Wednesday evening in Kanaipur when Pintu was returning home. The locals took him to a nearby hospital, from where he was referred to Kolkata for better treatment, but he succumbed to his injuries.
