A doctor from Tamil Nadu’s Tiruvallur district was detained at Russia's Sochi airport and his wife has appealed to the Central and state governments to ensure his safe return to India. She claimed that her husband was tortured and humiliated while in custody, adding that he has now been released but does not have documents needed to return to India.
