Tamil Nadu Health and Family Welfare Minister Ma Subramanian on Thursday, August 28, provided an update on the rare brain infection caused by the “brain-eating” amoeba (Naegleria fowleri). “It has been reported that in Kerala, 18 people are undergoing treatment after being affected by this infection. Over the past week, the condition has been observed more frequently,” he said.
