A video showed Tamil Nadu Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi getting emotional and breaking down after seeing the bodies of children killed in the Karur stampede during actor and TVK chief Vijay's rally. He visited a government hospital in Karur along with DMK leader and former minister V Senthil Balaji to meet those who got injured in the stampede.
