The Madras High Court stated that the Tamil Nadu state police will provide protection to the movie theatres screening Vijay Deverakonda-starrer 'Kingdom' amid protests, if required. This was in response to petition filed by SSI production, seeking police protection and to restrain Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) Chief Coordinator Seeman and his followers from interfering with screening of the film.
