In a first, researchers have mapped complete brain activity during decision-making by studying mice turning small steering wheels to guide shapes. Researchers tracked neural signals at single-cell resolution using high-density electrodes. A dataset of 6,20,000 neurons from 139 mice revealed decision-making is spread widely, including in brain regions linked more with movement than cognition.
