The ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) said that they "condemn the tragic rape incident" wherein a student was allegedly gang-raped at South Calcutta Law College and said that "justice will be served." TMC posted on X, "The full weight of the law will be brought to bear, ensuring the most severe measures are imposed on those found guilty."
