Transport workers from all four road transport corporations in Karnataka (KSRTC, BMTC, NWKRTC, and KKRTC) launched a statewide indefinite strike from Tuesday. The unions are demanding 38 months' salary arrears and a 25% pay hike effective from January 1, 2024. The state government issued an advisory and requested private firms, especially in Bengaluru, to allow work-from-home during the strike.
