Infosys Founder Narayana Murthy, who earlier received flak for suggesting that employees should work 70 hours a week, has urged businesses and entrepreneurs to treat their employees as humans. Murthy also urged companies to reduce the pay gap between lowest and highest salaries, by embracing "compassionate capitalism". "Praise people in public and criticise in private," he further urged companies.
