Tripura on Monday became India's third fully literate state after Mizoram and Goa. Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha announced this during a programme in Agartala, stating that the state has achieved a 95.6% literacy rate. CM Saha said that this day will be inscribed in golden letters. A state is considered fully literate when its literacy rate exceeds 95%.
