The Tripura government has invited PM Modi to inaugurate the redeveloped 524-year-old Tripura Sundari temple—a revered Shakti Peetha in Udaipur. Built in 1501, the shrine was renovated at a cost of ₹52 crore. The temple is Tripura’s spiritual crown jewel, drawing thousands annually. A ₹97.7 crore Shakti Peethas Park at Banduar in southern Tripura is also being planned to boost spiritual tourism.
