US President Donald Trump said envoy Steve Witkoff may travel to Russia ahead of the August 8 deadline set by Trump for ceasefire with Ukraine. Trump said Witkoff may visit Russia on August 6 or 7 as officials "would like to see him". Trump had said if Russia doesn't agree to truce by August 8, it could be heavily sanctioned.
