Alison Burroughs, Boston federal judge, ruled that US President Donald Trump illegally cancelled nearly $2.2 billion in research grants to Harvard University. The verdict also prohibits Trump administration from withholding existing grants, or cutting off or freezing any federal funding to the university. Trump cancelled grants on grounds of anti-semitism and sought to bar international students.
