A federal appeals court rejected US President Donald Trump's bid to overturn a verdict ordering him to pay $83.3 million (₹732 crore) for defaming writer E Jean Carroll. Carroll accused Trump of attacking her around 1996 in a dressing room. In 2019, Trump said Carroll was "not my type" and had made up the story to sell her memoir.
