US President Donald Trump met Pakistani PM Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan Army chief Asim Munir at the White House and held closed door talks on Thursday. Trump called both of them "great leaders". Notably, Sharif was also among senior officials from eight Islamic countries who met Trump on sidelines of UNGA this week to discuss strategies to end Gaza war.
