US President Donald Trump has directed the Pentagon to use the military to target drug cartels in Latin America that have been designated as terrorist organisations, reports said. It is unclear if or when the military will take action. Several Latin American gangs, including MS-13, Tren de Aragua and the Cartel of the Suns, have been given the terrorist designation.
