Continuing an annual tradition dating back to 1989, US President Donald Trump pardoned two Thanksgiving turkeys, Gobble and Waddle, on Tuesday. Trump joked he wanted to rename them "Chuck and Nancy", in an apparent reference to Democrat leaders Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi. "But then I realised I wouldn't be pardoning them...I'd never pardon those two people," he added.
