US President Donald Trump has signed a proclamation, requiring companies to pay a $100,000 (₹88 lakh) annual fee to obtain H-1B worker visas. Amazon emerged as top beneficiary of the programme last fiscal year, followed by Tata, Microsoft, Meta, Apple and Google.
