US President Donald Trump's aide Peter Navarro, who has been criticising India and calling the Russia-Ukraine war as PM Narendra Modi's "war", was sentenced to four months in jail in 2024. He got the sentence for not appearing before US Congress to give testimony and produce evidence in connection with the January 6, 2020, attack on US Capitol.
