US President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Monday seeking to penalise people who desecrate or burn the American flag. "If you burn a flag, you get one year in jail, no early exits," Trump said as he signed the order in Oval Office, Reuters reported. Notably, US' Supreme Court had ruled in 1989 that burning flags isn't illegal.
