US President Donald Trump suggested the arrest of California Governor Gavin Newsom as the latter criticised Trump's decision to send National Guard troops to stop protests against immigration raids in Los Angeles. He said Newsom should be thankful to him but chose to lie to the people of California. Newsom said deployment of National Guard troops violated California's state sovereignty.
