US President Donald Trump on Monday warned of steeper tariffs on China. "They have to give us magnets, if they don't give us magnets, then we have to charge them 200% tariffs or something," Trump told reporters. China added several rare earth items and magnets to its export restriction list in April in retaliation to tariff hikes by the US.
