US President Donald Trump will posthumously award Presidential Medal of Freedom to right-wing activist Charlie Kirk today. Kirk's wife Erika will accept the award on behalf of her husband. Charlie Kirk was shot dead during an event on September 10. He was a close ally of the Trump administration and Trump had credited Kirk with helping him win 2024 election.
