US President Donald Trump stated he'll host "the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, at the White House" on August 8 "for a historic peace summit". Trump stated, "It will be a historic day for Armenia, Azerbaijan, the United States, and the world." Both countries have been in conflict since the late 1980s.
