Republican candidate Donald Trump won the first swing state victory in 2024 US election, taking North Carolina, Associated Press reported. The ex-President was also ahead of his rival, US Vice-President Kamala Harris, in five other swing states- Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Georgia- while leads from Nevada are awaited. Harris won California- the state with most electoral votes.
