Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) apologised as six people died after a stampede broke out at Andhra Pradesh's Tirupati temple on Wednesday. Terming it "unfortunate," TTD Chairman BR Naidu said the stampede was caused due to "overcrowding". The incident occurred during distribution of Vaikunta Dwara Sarva Darshan tokens. PM Narendra Modi and Andhra Pradesh CM expressed grief over the incident.
