A Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) functionary named Ayyappan died by suicide in Tamil Nadu's Villupuram district, blaming DMK MLA Senthil Balaji and the police for the Karur stampede in his suicide note. Ayyappan alleged that the police didn't provide adequate security for Vijay’s Karur event, stating that Balaji should be arrested. He also demanded a probe into the stampede.
