Two men were arrested in Salem district in Tamil Nadu for allegedly hunting fruit bats, cooking them, and selling the meat as chicken. Forest officials acted after hearing gunshots in the Thoppur Ramasamy forest. The suspects, Kamal and Selvam, were caught by a patrol team. An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
