Botanists in Arunachal Pradesh have discovered two rare Hoya species in the region's forests. Hoya chinghungensis has been recorded in India for the first time, while Hoya acuminata is newly reported from the state. This genus, found in tropical regions, includes waxy-flowering plants valued for their unique star-shaped flowers and for their ecological roles.
