The University Grants Commission (UGC) has approved 101 universities and several institutions to offer Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online programmes for the 2025-26 academic year, starting July-August 2025. Higher educational institutions (HEIs) must comply with regulatory guidelines, submit admission data on the UGC's DEB portal, and complete student admissions by October 15, 2025.
