UK-based AI chipmaker Graphcore, recently acquired by SoftBank, will invest £1 billion in India over the next decade to set up its first AI Engineering Campus in Bengaluru. The project will create 500 semiconductor jobs, boost India’s AI chip design ecosystem, and anchor SoftBank’s global AI hardware innovation strategy from India.
