UK will construct up to 12 new nuclear-powered attack submarines as part of government's Strategic Defence Review. The review, which will be published on Monday, will call for UK's armed forces to move to a state of "warfighting readiness" and outline the threats it faces, including Russian aggression. UK may invest £15 billion (₹1.7 lakh crore) into its warhead programme.
