Ukraine's Parliament has passed a resolution affirming the legitimacy of Volodymyr Zelenskyy as President after US President Donald Trump called for fresh elections in the country. Trump also called Zelenskyy "dictator without elections". Zelenskyy's term as President was scheduled to end in May 2024 but the Russia-Ukraine war prevented presidential election from being conducted.
