An unclaimed body was transported from a government-run hospital to a cremation ground in a municipal garbage collection vehicle in Punjab's Phagwara, causing widespread outrage. The municipal vehicle's driver described the situation as a "routine practice", News18 reported. Phagwara's SDM Jashanjit Singh has sought a report on the matter and questioned why government ambulance wasn’t utilised.
