Qualcomm has confirmed plans to launch a new 5G chipset tailored for entry-level smartphones below Rs 10,000 price segment this year, making the technology affordable for wider masses including in key markets like India beyond premium devices. As of now, 5G phones are priced higher due to high cost of processors, that will now change.
