The Israeli ambassador to UN in Geneva, Daniel Meron, criticised Human Rights Council for giving Iran an opportunity to address the floor. In a letter addressed to Council President Jürg Lauber, Meron said, "Affording...Iranian foreign minister the floor before this body continues to undermine the council's credibility and constitutes a blatant betrayal of...many victims of this regime worldwide."
