Union Minister Suresh Gopi, who refused to accept petition of 80-year-old Kochu Velayudhan seeking assistance in construction of his dilapidated house, said, "It's not my style to give false promises to people." "Housing is a state subject. The state government has to look into that," he stated. Velayudhan said Gopi told him that it wasn't his job to build home.
