After US President Donald Trump ordered the deployment of 2,000 National Guard troops to Los Angeles to curb riots, California Governor Gavin Newsom said the move is unlawful. "This is a serious breach of state sovereignty, inflaming tensions while pulling resources from where they’re actually needed," Newsom added. He has also written to Trump requesting withdrawal of the order.
