External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, when asked about India’s role in de-escalating Israel-Iran tensions, said, “We are a country that has good relations with both Israel and Iran. We issued a statement...but ultimately it is for the parties involved to make up their minds. It’s unrealistic for someone outside to insert themselves or to offer to do something if they aren't prepared for it.”
