The UP Assembly passed the Shri Banke Bihari Temple Trust Bill on Wednesday. The Bill provides for the formation of a board of government-appointed trustees. The trust will have authority over all offerings, donations, and movable/immovable properties of the temple. The nominated members will include three eminent persons related to Vaishnav traditions, sects or peeths.
