A 40-year-old BJP leader died after being struck by lightning while clearing rainwater from his roof during heavy rainfall in Mathura's Krishna Nagar area, police said on Wednesday. "Hearing his scream, family members rushed to the roof and found him lying unconscious," DSP Bhushan Verma said. Despite repeated efforts by relatives and neighbours, he could not be revived, Verma added.
