An RSS-run school in UP's Gorakhpur refused to waive off fees of a Class 7 student named Pankhuri Tripathi, despite CM Yogi Adityanath's assurance of a waiver. Tripathi sought Adityanath's help after her father suffered a critical leg injury. The school, Saraswati Shishu Mandir, charges a monthly fees of ₹1,650, which SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has now offered to pay.
