Vipin Bhati, accused of torturing and killing his wife Nikki over dowry demands, had sought a Mercedes car from her family, reports said. Nikki's father had bought a new Mercedes, her brother said, adding that Vipin was "eyeing" the vehicle and demanding one for himself. Nikki's father had reportedly gifted a Scorpio and a Royal Enfield bike to Vipin.
