The CM Yogi Adityanath-led UP government has increased the salaries and allowances of MLAs, Ministers, and Legislative Council members. MLA/MLC's basic pay rose from ₹25,000 to ₹35,000, and Ministers' basic salary was raised from ₹40,000 to ₹50,000. Constituency allowance has been increased from ₹50,000 to ₹75,000. UP Minister Suresh Khanna said that this increase has been made after nine years.
