The Uttar Pradesh government on Friday said a man, whose release from prison was delayed for nearly a month after getting bail, has been compensated with ₹5 lakh. This comes after the Supreme Court ordered the compensation and asked the UP government to report on compliance. The accused was booked under the provisions of the state's anti-conversion law.
