Uttar Pradesh government's Shop Construction/Shop Operation Scheme For Rehabilitation Of PwDs has enabled 1,046 specially abled people to establish independent businesses in current fiscal year. Under this, beneficiaries receive ₹20,000 support for setting up retail ventures ranging from stationery to mobile repair units. The programme forms part of efforts to enhance PwDs' economic participation.
