The Uttar Pradesh government announced additional buses for Diwali, Bhai Dooj, and Chhath to manage the festival rush. Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh said the buses will operate on key routes from Delhi to eastern UP. Officials added that an incentive period from October 18-30 has been declared to maximise bus operations, with financial rewards for staff working extended duties.
