The recent irrigation project by the Yogi Adityanath-led govt aims to save 150 million cubic metres of water in Phase 1 alone by switching from traditional canal irrigation to high-efficiency pipe systems. Reduced water loss and power use will make farming in UP more sustainable, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly. The project is set to be a landmark initiative in UP.
