The Uttar Pradesh government is encouraging mushroom cultivation as a profitable agri-business, helping farmers across eight districts increase their incomes. Farmers can obtain loans with 3% interest subsidies from both central and state governments under schemes such as the Atmanirbhar Krishak Samanvit Yojana and the Agri Infrastructure Fund (AIF).
